Bailey's Banda is in the cool highlands of Selous Game Reserve, which is one of the finest and largest wildlife areas in Africa. It is part of the award-winning Beho Beho Safari Camp owned and managed by Christopher Bailey and has a great reputation for guiding, attention to detail and sustainable tourism.
What to expect
The two-storey home has stone floors and a restrained, cool, and very private atmosphere. It comprises 2 sleeping rooms which accommodate up to 4 people and offers a lounge and dining area, bar, kitchen, swimming pool and wooden deck, with wonderful views out into the bush
What to do
The Selous has an exceptional diversity of habitats and species including lions, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant. There are game drives, boat trips, walks, sundowners and bush breakfasts on offer. Dont miss any of them!
Kids You will have complete flexibility to plan your days. With boating and game drives on offer, there is a varied experience for children.
When to visit
Peak game viewing season is July through November, when it is very dry. Bird watching is best between December and April when the vegetation is more lush.
How to get there
Selous is a short flight from Dar es Salaam. The Selous combines well with visits to Zanzibar or Northern Mozambique any of the other excellent wildlife parks in Tanzania.
